ABOUT ME
When I was little, I always used to say: « Working in finance, me? Never! » It was probably due to holidays memories with my father, often concerned by the stock market. I found it boring, stressful and above all totally useless (making more with money...what’s the value?)
Today, what I do is far from this representation I had when I was a kid. I’m excited about what I do, helping my clients so that they can focus on what really matters to them and stop worrying about their finances. My story? After studying international relations, I end up working in a bank (life has a way of proving us wrong sometimes) Straightforward, organized, I like numbers and I’m also a people person. So, over time, it became harder and harder to feel good about my career. I was selling structures to my clients, but it was far more about making sure the bank made a profit, than about serving my clients’ best interests. In 2008, while pregnant with my first child, I left the bank and joined Lyra, a independent financial company based on a healthier model. No kickbacks, transparency, our business model was based on putting clients’ interest above all, including profits! Today, I’m really lucky as my professional career allows me to work in finance and adult training while being aligned to my values. Being independent gives me the flexibility to take care of my 3 boys and simply enjoy life, while doing what I love. My dream ? That the next generation of women will be financially empowered. May they be inspired and engaged in finance. That’s why all the profits from my book are donated to charities that work in this direction. I am convinced that it is enough to talk, to break the silence of money, to make it happen. I want to change the image of the financial world so that money becomes an inspiration to all of us. |
